Can you explain what pranic healing is?
Pranic Healing is an advanced form of energy healing that complements orthodox medicine. It is based on two natural laws: the law of self-recovery, the body heals itself, and the law of life energy, prana, ki, mana or mauri. Every person is surrounded and interpenetrated by a luminous energy body called the bioplasmic body or ‘energy body’. Pranic Healing utilises prana from the air we breathe to clean, balance and energise the energy body accelerating the visible physical body’s natural healing process.
What does the current scientific understanding say about its effectiveness?
The word ‘bio-plasmic’ comes from bio, which means life, and plasma which is the fourth state of matter, the first three being: solid, liquid and gas. With the aid of Kirlian photography, scientists have been able to study, observe and take pictures of the bioplasmic energy field around fingers and the entire human body before and after healing with observable positive results.
What role does a client’s own mindset and practices play in their healing journey?
We constantly drain our life energy by our every thought, every act of will or motion of muscles. A person’s mindset and daily practices can either drain or replenish their vital force. If clients are open to learning new practices, they can find self-empowerment by taking pranic healing courses and regularly practicing healing, meditation and breathing techniques creating new, daily, energetic routines.
How has interest in pranic healing evolved locally, and what unique insights or benefits do you see people gaining?
Pranic Healing is growing in New Zealand with students keen to have access to more of the 20 courses available in over 70 countries worldwide. It uniquely demystifies the energy world and encourages students to experiment and validate results for themselves. Benefits include learning simple techniques that allow them to take control of their own well-being including the ability to treat emotional and psychological issues, trauma, depression and addiction.
What credentials or qualities should people look for when choosing a trustworthy and effective pranic healer?
Pranic Healing can be practised by anyone, the basic techniques and use of protocols can be learnt in a weekend, but it takes practice and experience to become proficient. You can study to become a Certified Pranic Healer where a record of successful healings and client testimonials are required. Teaching is regulated by the Institute of Inner Studies in the Philippines, currently I am the only licensed instructor in New Zealand.
