Nelson’s much loved Mask Carnivale came to town on Friday for its 31st edition. The event is part of the Nelson Arts Festival, which wrapped up on Sunday.
Tāhunanui School took out first place in the school category, and the Kim Merry supreme award, and Auckland Point School came in second.
Marketing and communications lead for the Nelson Arts Festival, Lil della Porta, says they are proud to be able to continue bringing the cornerstone event to Whakatū Nelson.
“It felt like a really joyous celebration, everyone involved had a really positive experience.”
