The crew at Motueka’s TOP 10 Holiday Park is in top form, after two nods at the group’s annual national conference earlier this month.
Manager Ashlee Levien says it was “an honour” to receive both the Employer of Choice award and runner-up for Top Guest Experience.
Ashlee credits the park’s strong staff culture for their success. She says they do their best to look after their employees with frequent dinners, lunches and outings, all covered by management.
“We have a lot of fun,” she explains. “We want our staff to feel valued and looked after, and we want them to come to work feeling like they’re appreciated.”
The conference brings together all 49 TOP 10 parks across New Zealand.
The Motueka business was also a finalist in the Large Park of the Year and Community Engagement categories at the national Holiday Park Conference, which includes all holiday parks in the country and was held in Nelson in July.
Ashlee says their community Halloween celebration, held in 2023 and 2024, impressed the judges in the community engagement section, drawing many hundreds of families to the park-wide event.
Due to current construction work, the team made the tough call not to hold the event this year for safety and staffing reasons, but Ashlee says it will return in 2026.
