It’s Showtime in Nelson, with Saxton Stadium once again filled with ideas, advice and inspiration for the home and garden.
The 2026 Nelson Home & Garden Show runs from September 18 to 20, bringing together a huge variety of exhibitors, with plenty to see, discover and explore. Whether you’re planning a major renovation, working through a weekend DIY project, looking to refresh your garden, or simply enjoy finding something new, the Show is the perfect place to gather ideas, meet the experts and see what’s trending.
From builders, kitchens, flooring and double glazing to plants, heating, solar solutions, spas, homewares and more, there’s something to suit almost every project and every budget. Alongside the practical, you’ll find a wonderful selection of artisan goods, art, wellbeing and lifestyle products, making it just as appealing for those who are there to browse and be inspired.
There’s also plenty of fresh talent to discover, says organiser Emily Shanley, with a fantastic line-up of first-time exhibitors joining the Show’s usual favourites.
Among the new exhibitors is Escea, which will showcase its innovative range of gas, wood and electric fireplaces. Proudly designed in New Zealand, Escea has been creating high-performance fireplaces for more than 20 years, with options designed to complement a wide range of homes and lifestyles.
For those who prefer their adventures beyond the four walls, Mi Pod Outdoors is bringing premium truck campers, roof tents and outdoor equipment to the Show. Based in Nelson, the company combines precision engineering with durable, aerospace-grade aluminium to create capable, streamlined systems designed for everything from sealed roads to back-country exploring.
Outdoor entertaining is another theme to explore, with Inferno Outdoor Fireplaces & Kitchens offering ideas for creating a backyard made for gathering, cooking and relaxing. With standard and custom-made fireplace and kitchen options, visitors can start imagining how their outdoor space could become an extension of the home.
Art lovers will also have plenty to enjoy. South Island artist Virginia Watson creates colourful, textured original works inspired by dramatic landscapes, native birds and coastal scenes. Her hand-applied paintings capture a strong sense of place and the stories and memories associated with it.
"For gardeners, there are some particularly interesting opportunities to learn. Heritage Roses New Zealand will be at the Show sharing the history and care of these beautiful living antiques, while Heritage Roses Nelson’s Jesse Powers will take to the Ask the Experts stage to talk about Heritage Roses for Modern Gardens."
The free daily Q&A sessions are a particular highlight says Emily, who says they provide an opportunity to get answers to questions visitors may otherwise struggle to find. “You can actually bring your questions along and talk to people who know their subjects. It’s really practical information, rather than just looking at a product.”
The programme begins each day at 10.30am with Haidi Spence from Your Garden Guide talking about resilient planting for Nelson gardens.
At 11.30am, Es solar’s Lance Double will look at Solar Myths vs Reality: What Actually Makes Sense for Nelson Tasman homes. Reon Petterson from Smith & Sons will discuss How to Avoid Renovation Nightmares at 12.30pm on Friday and Saturday, followed by Pest Control Advice from a local Tasman District Council biosecurity officer at 1.30pm. Jesse Powers will finish the daily programme at 2.15pm with Heritage Roses for Modern Gardens.
And there’s plenty happening beyond the displays and talks. Families can join in the fun with Resene from 11am to 2pm on Saturday and Sunday, while exclusive Show specials provide a chance to pick up a great deal.

Visitors can also be in to win simply by entering at the Show entrance. One lucky attendee will take home a $250 Resene voucher, along with a stunning handcrafted Aotearoa New Zealand wooden depth map from TidesOut Maps, valued at $849.
When all that browsing works up an appetite, the food court offers the perfect place to pause, refuel and enjoy a delicious selection of food and drinks.
There’s also plenty more to discover among the new exhibitors. Lacebark Larder specialises in small-batch artisan treats made for cocktails, celebrations and everyday indulgence. Discover dried fruits, chocolate, GINfusions, cocktail goodies, salts, seasonings and more, with plenty of delicious finds to take home. Oriwa Naturals will bring its small-batch, New Zealand-made skincare, while Eden Juice will be offering its 100% pure cherry juice, made with two kilograms of cherries in every bottle and with no added sugar, preservatives or GMOs.
With expert advice, new ideas, trusted favourites, exciting first-time exhibitors, family entertainment, food, giveaways and Show-only specials, the 2026 Nelson Home & Garden Show is shaping up to be another great outing.
