A sunny spring day meant a steady trade in candy floss, fry bread ice cream sandwiches and elaborate balloon animals at the Saint Peter Chanel School Fiesta on Saturday.
Teacher Megan Strong says the event attracted a fabulous turnout from the school and wider community.
Megan says the highlight of the day was seeing people come together and enjoy the occasion.
“It was such a happy, positive atmosphere throughout the whole day.”
While the final total is still being calculated, an early count shows about $8500 was raised to support students' learning, both inside and outside the classroom.
The funds will help provide resources and experiences that “help bring their learning to life”, Megan says.
